Frequently asked questions

My rates are based on research. They are determined according the fact that I have invested in being licensed, bonded, insured, and CPR certified. I also continue to invest in professional development in order to better care for your pets. The cost of living and gas prices are also factors. I am a mother and pet parent myself.

The services offered are dog (or pet) walking, home visits, overnight care, vacation care, and pet transport. The fees vary and are posted on the Services page of this website. If the options available do not fit your pet or needs, please reach out and we will work together to create an option that fits your situation, or I will help you find someone who can get you the support that you need! (For example – needing a 15 minute visit to just let your dog out for a brief potty and exercise break.) Please reference my Services page for more details!

I provide care for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, mice, rats, turtles, cats, and dogs.

Having a pet sitter visit your home allows your pet to stay in his or her comfort zone while receiving excellent care and attention. This can greatly relieve the stress and anxiety that some pets may experience outside of their home environment. Each pet visit includes fresh food and water, medication (if needed), exercise, play, interaction, cuddles or brushing (if needed), litter box cleaning for cats, cage/pen cleaning for small pets, and standard house-sitting services. House-sitting services include security checks, plant watering, mailbox checks, front door delivery collection, curbside recycling and/or garbage placement, light and/or blind changes.

At this time, service hours are currently 5AM-8PM, 7 days a week. The schedule is subject to change and will be communicated in advance via social media and contact with clients. My personal vacation times or unavailability will be communicated in the same manner, as well as on my Contact page on this website. I currently do not have specific office hours, however this is subject to change as well. Expect a response within 24 hours of contacting me. Although unlikely, cancellations that occur due to me will receive a full refund.

The earlier the better! For vacation care or multiple visits, I recommend at least a month in advance if possible. If you are a new client, a meet and greet is required at least two weeks prior to care. We need to ensure that it is a good fit for everyone. Holidays and summer are typically the busiest times of the year for pet sitters. I do not keep a waiting list for services.

Absolutely! I have a business license from the state of Arizona and am licensed through the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS). Paws ‘N Play Pet Services is insured and bonded through Small Business Insurers of the Carolinas.

Thank you for reaching out – or planning to! Please expect a response from me within 24 hours.

During extended absences, it is required that your cat receives care at least once a day in order ensure its wellbeing, happiness, and safety. Dogs will need a minimum of two visits daily, and puppies (one year and younger) at least three per day. If you prefer more attention than what was previously mentioned (especially if your pet is a dog,) please let me know.  Visit durations of 15 or 20 minute visits are also options upon request.

For the safety of your home, your pet, and myself, pet care responsibilities will not be shared. However, please do let a trusted neighbor and/or friend or family member know that I will be visiting your home to provide care for your pet!

Yes! I am CPR and First Aid certified through ProPetHero by Protrainings. Documentation is available upon request.

I am a member of the National Association of Professional Petsitters (NAPPS), ProPetHero (by Protrainings,) and Pet Sitters International (PSI).

Currently, I do not board pets. However, I have a dream that eventually I will have a boarding facility that will be a welcoming home-away-from-home for pets who would enjoy a vacation more than a staycation!

Of course! Any new clients who are referred via a current client, rescue, or shelter will be granted a 10% discount on their first service booking. Current clients will receive a 10% discount on a future booking when a referred client books a service and has that service completed. Military personnel and veterans will receive a 10% discount for the total service. I plan to offer a discount reward for reviews in the near future.
