ABOUT ME

Minnesota Transplant

I’m a Minnesota native who has been living in the valley of the sun for almost 18 years. The vast abundance of sunshine, blue skies, and blooming cacti played a huge role in convincing me to stay! I do, however, have a strong love for my home state – the “Land of 10,000 Lakes”. My midwestern roots and passion for animals have brought me to where I am now.

Early Days

Growing up on a three-generation farm has played a large hand in shaping who I am. I have literally been in the presence of animals from the time I came home from the hospital as a newborn baby. Just prior to my arrival, my parents had taken in two stray cats who each had a litter of kittens! From many rescued baby robins to a pet pig named Periwinkle, I was blessed to be raised in an environment that was constantly teeming with life. After graduating with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, Minnesota in 2006, I had a thirst for change and ventured sight unseen (with my cat in tow,) to southern Arizona where I put my teaching degree to work.

Arizona Life

Within a couple of years I got married and moved out to Buckeye, Arizona where I have resided ever since. A few years into my teaching career I obtained a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Over the past 14 years, I have had two sons and adopted many cats and dogs. Currently, I have one dog and one cat who bring us so much joy and companionship. We all love being a part of the growing Buckeye community.

Growth & Dreams

This past spring, I finished my seventeenth year of teaching. For almost two decades, I taught students ranging from third to seventh grade. While I have enjoyed working with various educators, families and students over the years, I have wanted to pursue a pet care business since my Minnesota days. My experience with helping others as an educator paired with my passion for animals has drawn me to grow in new ways and pursue this dream.

Legacy

Within a four-year span between 2018-2022, we were devastated with the passing of my paternal grandparents and dad, all of whom spent the vast majority of their lives living on our family farm. The passion my grandparents and dad had for both their community and animals is something I want to carry on within my own life and pay forward to my sons. We were fortunate to have friends, family, and neighbors around us who were always willing to help us out with our farm animals and pets when we were unable to be home – the peace of mind this provided was priceless. This is the true heart and soul of this business – to let pet owners rest assured that their beloved pets will be well-cared for with love and compassion while they are apart from one another.

Testimonials

Providing care with heart & soul!

Kylee pet sat my cat when I was out of state. I felt incredibly at ease and could tell through the communication via videos and photos that he was happy and well cared for. She made sure he was active and played with him too! I highly recommend her!

Can’t recommend her enough! We had our dog sitter cancel last minute and she was there to help us out! She was amazing with our pups and even sent us pictures and updates every day. When we got home we were surprised to find a thank you note from her with a detailed description of how the dogs did every day. Her prices are very reasonable and she is very knowledgeable. Will definitely be using her again! So glad to have someone we trust with our fur babies.
